Anatii has been reflecting on his experience producing the new track "Open Wide" by Busta Rhymes, featuring Chris Brown and Shenseea. He has been a prominent figure in the South African hip hop scene, with significant influence. However, there was a noticeable gap in his presence in the industry for some time.
Although Anatii hasn't consistently released music recently, he has been actively involved behind the scenes. Not only has he made notable contributions to the South African music scene, but he has also made an impact in the US hip hop scene.
Taking to Instagram, Anatii expressed his gratitude for producing "Open Wide" on Busta Rhymes album Blockbusta. He revealed that this opportunity came during a challenging period amidst the COVID 19 pandemic when he was facing feelings of isolation, mild depression and a lack of inspiration. It was during this time that Busta Rhymes reached out to him and expressed interest in the songs he had produced for him.
"I had the privilege of producing 'OPEN WIDE,' featuring Chris Brown and Shenseea, for my all time favorite rapper, Busta Rhymes. Aka The Dragon. It happened at a time when I was feeling alone, somewhat downhearted and devoid of creative motivation," Anatii shared.
Anatii also mentioned that Busta showed great enthusiasm when he played one of the songs that Anatii had produced. The track featured Chris Brown and it was evident that there was a lot of excitement due to the exceptional quality of the song.
"One morning, Busta texted me and asked me to give him a call about one of the records I produced for him. He couldn't contain his excitement about Chris Brown joining in on the song. He then played it for me over the phone and I was blown away," Anatii added.
The talented hitmaker shared that listening to the final version of the song he produced was incredibly satisfying. He expressed deep admiration for Busta Rhymes, acknowledging his innovative approach to music and his ability to think outside the box.
"I've always had immense respect for Busta, especially when it comes to breaking boundaries with vocal performance, lyrics and overall creativity. I'm thrilled to finally share this with all of you. Bushman is back on those beats."
