The rapper has been quite secretive about the highly anticipated DIY3 album, not revealing any crucial details such as the release date, tracklist or album cover art. Recently, on Instagram, the self proclaimed Hustler posted some pictures of himself in the recording studio.
In the caption of those pictures, the rapper mentioned being fully immersed in his creative process and confirmed that DIY3 is now finished. He even wrote, "I'm in my element. DIY3 is done. Already working on what comes next," indicating his dedication to continuous music making.
Recently, there was a sighting of The Hustler in a meeting with Ghazi Shami, the CEO of Empire Records and a Palestinian American. It was revealed during the meeting that Emtee is putting in tremendous effort to ensure the successful release of his album. Considering the number of South African rappers who have already dropped albums this year, having an Emtee masterpiece to set the festive season vibe would be an amazing way to wrap up the year.
The decision on when to treat his fans with the culmination of his long term efforts ultimately rests with the rapper himself. Emtee had previously spoken out about his album release being undermined, but now it's up to him to make it happen.
