Scumie has recently expressed her disappointment on social media, claiming that she did not receive payment from Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest, despite their joint performance at the renowned African Throne concert.
The up and coming artist stated that she felt compelled to sign a contract in order to participate in the African Throne event, with the understanding that she would receive payment within seven days. However, she has not yet been compensated for her performance by Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest.
Expressing her frustration on Twitter (X), Scumie strongly criticized the event, referring to it as a scam. She specifically called out the well known rappers for not honoring their agreement. Scumie also mentioned that it has been a month since her performance at the event and she has yet to receive any communication regarding the compensation she worked hard for.
"That Nasty C and Cassper tour is such a scam. I performed there, signed a contract stating that payment would be made within 7 days after my performance. It's been a month now and I haven't received anything. I don't really care about it, but I won't put in all that effort just to have it disregarded. Terrible people," expressed Scumie.
Despite receiving criticism from fans of both popular rappers, Scumie confidently stated that she has lodged her complaint and is now eagerly awaiting a response from Cassper and Nasty C. "Honestly, it's been over a month of reaching out and still no action? Once the higher ups in my team get in touch with those big bosses, my part will be done," she added.
As social media platforms buzz with comments regarding Scumie's claims, representatives for Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest have yet to address the allegations.
The African Throne tour began in September 2023, taking the rappers to different countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Rwanda, Estwani, Kenya, Botswana and more. The tour wrapped up in Johannesburg on October 28, 2023 and Phase 2 is scheduled for 2024.
